IGI Offers Best Practice in Creating Color Profiles for Proofing and Print Production

IGI

The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI) is offering a two-day hands-on workshop focused on creating color profiles for inkjet proofing that match print production. The session will be held on July 22 and 23, 2009, and will be conducted by Richard Lerner, the president of RSL Consultants, an organization that has trained printers and in-house production departments for the past twenty years in color management.

This two-day seminar will provide both demonstrations and hands-on practice making profiles and color managed proof on an inkjet printer that matches output of an actual offset press run. The training will cover monitor profiling, soft proofing, setting up press forms for making and evaluating a press profile, making and editing profiles and producing a quality inkjet proof. In addition, the participants will confirm the quality of their profiles for an entire color managed workflow, from to proof to press, by running a production job on a five color Heidelberg press.
