K/P Corp. Installs Komori Press
K/P Corporation selected the LS640 for its cutting-edge press automation that aligns with the company’s goal to provide the most up-to-date offerings to support clients’ marketing and communication efforts, while still advancing its green initiatives.
Komori America Corporation recently announced K/P Corporation, a company that provides direct marketing solutions and business consulting along with a wide range of printing and fulfillment services, has installed a six-color, Lithrone S40 (LS640) in its newly expanded facility in Renton, Washington. After a comprehensive analysis across several press manufacturers, K/P Corporation selected the LS640 for its cutting-edge press automation that aligns with the company’s goal to provide the most up-to-date offerings to support clients’ marketing and communication efforts, while still advancing its green initiatives.
“We are very excited that our new Komori press offers the latest generation of process software not seen before in the Seattle market. It makes it possible for customers to participate in color proofing, and provides an intelligence that ensures the consistency of color critical to the applications we produce,” said Susan Kelly, CEO of K/P Corporation. “Additionally, the LS640 addresses our goal to conserve resources and reduce our carbon footprint. With its fast make-ready times, we use less paper to get the job done. We can also significantly reduce, if not eliminate, the use of solvents and take advantage of the newest environmentally-friendly coating techniques. With concerns about the environment continuing to grow, we are delighted that this press adds to our eco-friendly business practices.”
Paul Braverman, senior vice president of operations for K/P adds, “We chose this press to deliver what our customers are asking for—more complex, sophisticated integrated marketing solutions.
The flexibility of the LS640 makes it possible for us test the limits on substrates. It lets us easily produce the variety of output our clients require, from direct mail, to POS, to all types of marketing collateral with just one piece of equipment.”
